About
Launch your game. Fingers crossed.
Check Out My Game is a launch board for games. Makers put a game on the board for a day; players +1UP it, comment, and read what other players think. Every game gets its day, with the art at the size it deserves.
If you made a game
- 1Paste a linkSteam, the App Store, itch.io, GOG, Kickstarter, or your own site. The listing builds itself.
- 2Fix what's wrongEdit the pitch, tick the genres, add your studio and team, pick a launch day.
- 3LaunchYour game joins that day's board. The top ten of the day earn launch awards and a badge.
If you play games
- +1UP what you likeOne account, one vote. Small counts show as "new" so a quiet launch never looks like a rejected one.
- Tell the maker what you thinkComments go straight to the people who made it. Makers reply with a Maker badge.
- Ping meAsk to hear the day a coming-soon game launches. Follow a studio to hear about everything they ship.
How we run it
Your listing, your call
Developers submit their own games. To keep the board full we also list new releases from public store pages, marked Unclaimed. Claim yours from the game page to edit everything, hand it back later, or retire it. Want it gone? Use the flag at the bottom of the page or email [email protected] and it comes down the same day.
Art belongs to makers
Unclaimed listings carry the title, a short description, the price and a link to the store, never the store's art. Screenshots, capsules and trailers appear only when the maker claims the listing and gives permission.
Votes are people
No bots, no bought votes, no voting before launch day. Comments can be flagged, and a comment three different people flag is hidden until a human looks at it.
Honest feedback
The only AI on a game page is the short Select feedback summary, which sums up what human commenters wrote once there are enough comments to sum up. It never writes the comments.
Launch Awards
Every closed day, the top ten games with at least one +1UP get an award that stays on the page: Game of the Day, #2, #3 and the rest of the top ten. A quiet day gets none. The badge for your site or press kit says which.
One email a week, at most
Sign in with Google, Discord, Steam or GitHub. Notifications live in the bell. The only email is a Monday digest of the week, on by default, off with one click. What we keep is short enough to read.
