ArmorSim
Build armour plates, fire real rounds, solve the penetration
by Timerlan Galimov
Summary
ArmorSim is a terminal ballistics sandbox where you stack plates by thickness, angle and material, then fire American, Soviet or German service penetrators at them. Impacts are solved by three selectable solvers, from analytic equations answering in under a second to an axisymmetric continuum mesh that takes minutes per shot.
- Three solvers: analytic, layered-array accounting, continuum mesh
- 14 armour materials, 4 penetrator cores, reactive and ceramic armour
- Material constants tagged MEASURED, DERIVED, FITTED or ASSUMED with sources
