FORK BOMB: A Programming Game
Code one machine in Python-like syntax, watch it replicate
by Quiet Machines
Summary
You write programs in a small Python-like language for a single mining machine that learns to spawn copies of itself, each running your code from the top. Eleven guided lessons and thirty-nine scenarios push machine counts into the hundreds, where corridor jams, starved ore veins and a fixed per-tick instruction budget break code that worked at four units.
- Seventeen API calls, including send() and recv() messaging
- 50 levels plus a sandbox with ~30 world dials
- Deterministic simulation: same seed and program, same run
